Danielle's Friday Anchorage

Posted by Danielle Raubuck on

On this and future Fridays I hope you will join me as I release new blogs that merge my passion for mental health advocacy with my work in creating refuges within our homes via interior design. I chose the word anchorage because- to me- the connotation emanates the ability stop for a moment to summarize and reflect on the week- it gives an opportunity to ground myself, again for a moment, with the ability to relax into the weekend. Cheers to the first anchor drop shared here:  Here we are at the end of the second full week of January, 2021. (It’s Friday- the Friday Fix is on it’s way!) I saw a retweet last night that made my counselor brain...

I work diligently with individuals, couples, and families to design spaces that will hold their most precious moments in ways that support and honor their unique styles, needs, and values. Together, we create...

Curating a home collection and decorating your home is so enjoyable, right? For so many friends, family, and clients the answer to this question is often an enormous, all caps, resounding, “NO!” I absolutely understand- there are infinite home decor and furniture stores in this world that run the full gamut of budgets and it is so often very difficult to know where to begin. I have to admit though, I get really excited about this form of feeling lost because of the potential in the infinite options- I also understand this is a rare quality.  I have had a love for interior design since childhood (I had more fun rearranging the furniture in and crafting decor for my Barbie house...

Meet Danielle

Posted by Danielle Raubuck on

Hello, I’m Danielle- owner and designer behind Oak and Honey Interiors! Decorating, designing, and entertaining have been a passion of mine since childhood- I grew up watching my dad build all the things from my most coveted Barbie house (it had real carpet and wall paper!) and outdoor playhouse to anything and everything inside our home while my mom worked tirelessly to make our home in the countryside of Indiana a retreat to welcome all visitors.  While my husband and I currently live in the Fox Valley of Wisconsin, we have moved four times after meeting in college at Indiana University where I majored in psychology and he in business. Our first move was to Chicago, Illinois, where we lived...
